Photographing Winter Birds

Although we hate to admit it, we haven’t had much use for winter time.  If you’re into gardening and landscaping and pools, well, winter doesn’t lend itself so much to those things.  In recent years though we’ve found a renewed interest in taking photos of backyard birds.

We do this in the spring and summer of course, but we’ve actually found it to be a fun activity in the winter time too.

Just because the weather’s cold and dreary doesn’t mean you can’t be outside with your camera. Some of the most beautiful bird photos are taken in winter.

Shooting in winter does take a little more planning than fair-weather photography, but here are a few tips to get you started.
